You can read my post on my katsyfga blog contrasting goals and resolutions, and I’ve decided today that I need goals–specific as to time and numbers. I’m thinking about what they are, and will write them down. For now, this is the first step. I know I need to lose weight–the numbers don’t lie, although my eyes can fool me into thinking I don’t really look as bad as I do. I joined the National Body Challenge on Discovery Health, and I think I need to lose about 50 pounds–which is about what I was thinking. I’m about 20 pounds over what I was when I became pregnant both times, and that was about 10 pounds more than I weighed when I got married. And that was still overweight. I need an attainable goal in an attainable amount of time, and am thinking 50 pounds this year–which is about a pound a week. I can do it! I must do it!
